There is a historical mass grave in Durgapur upazila of Rajshahi district

It is in Gagan Baria village of Joynagar UP, No. 6, Durgapur upazila.

Transportation

To come from Rajshahi city, you have to come to Bhadra Railgate where auto rickshaws are available for Hatkanpara Bazar. It will take only 30-45 minutes to reach the Hatkanpara market by auto rickshaw. It will take you to reach Gaganbaria Azahar junction. If you go down there and look 100 yards to the east, you will see the mass grave and from Durgapur upazila you have to take Nachimon and Karimon at Hatkanpara College junction. .5 km road from there take a van or auto rickshaw and go down to the turn of Gaganbaria Azahar and look 100 yards to the east and you will see the mass grave.

Details

It is a historic mass grave where many fresh souls are lying. The historical mass grave is built in the memory of many fresh souls who were brutally shot dead by the freedom fighters and civilians in 1971 by the Pak-invading forces.
